Courses are FUN ! It is not like being at school. You are part of a
small group, sharing your experiences and helping each other to find
out new and exiting things.
No one will ask you any difficult questions that you can't answer. Writing ? ... You take notes if you wish to - you don't have to, and only you look at your notes. Best of all - NO big tests or exams at the end of the course. All we want you to do is to come, join in and enjoy yourelf. Some of the couses are residential - we ask you to stay overnight, sharing a dormitory or a tent with other leaders. Accomodation for men and women is separated. Scouting offers a full training programme to take the rawest of raw recruit, or those with some experience, and train them to be a fully trained Beaver, Cub Scout or Explorer Leader. We recommend you start the training programme as quickly as possible as it will help you more in your first year as a Leader than later |
