Gift Day: - the total offering at last week’s Gift Day has reached £11,695 to which gift aid will be added. £650 was allocated by the donors for specific projects but the balance will be used for loan repayments. By using some of the funds already in hand we intend to pay £1,476 interest on the last remaining loan as well as £15,000 of capital, leaving a similar amount to be repaid in November 2008. Thank you for your generous donations which have made this possible.
Garth Hewitt Concert: - the well-known singer and campaigner Garth Hewitt will be performing at Wade Street Church at 7.30pm on Tuesday 20th November, in a concert organised by Churches Together In Lichfield. His music and stories are well worth hearing and give a powerful insight into life in the Developing World and The Holy Land. Tickets are £5 and can be purchased from Ian Hayter.
Christmas Family Fun: - Thursday 22nd November at 7.30pm, after the city centre Christmas lights have been switched on, there will be a special Christmas event in the Lichfield Room featuring the Nether Stowe Big Band, Duncan Moon’s Children’s Choir and ventriloquist/puppeteer Andi Markham. It’s an event for all ages and is a great way to get the Christmas season off to a good start. Bring your friends and neighbours. Admission is free.
Cre8 Community Theatre Company: - who meet at Wade Street are having a Murder Mystery evening on Saturday 24th November in the Lichfield Room. This is a fundraiser for Cre8 and a donation will be made to Wade street Church. Tickets are £12 including supper. For more details please contact Andrew on 07856 614492.
Church Meeting: - the next meeting will take place in the Lichfield Room, on Sunday December 2nd at 2.30pm, following a bring and share lunch.

At the last Church Members' Meeting it was agreed that we would hold an Election for people to join the Eldership team, which is currently three members short of the maximum twelve permissable. We are therefore looking for nominations of people who would be able to serve in this way, and nomination forms are available in the porch. The closing date for nominations is Sunday 18th November, with the election taking place at the Church Members' Meeting on 2nd December. If you have any queries, please have a word with one of the Ministers or Elders, or see the article in this months Vision.
Traidcraft: - we are taking advance orders for advent calendars/candles, diaries and calendars this year to avoid overestimating. The catalogue is available online, from the Traidcraft stall, or in the Lichfield Room. More helpers required to help set up and enable us to open more than one Sunday per month, see Barbara Box.
Church Night: - All are welcome for all or part of the time. Tuesdays 7.00pm - prayer, 8.00pm Coffee and fellowship, 8.30pm Bible study.
Vision: Items should be placed in the Porch folder by Sunday November 18th, for December. What's On:   Churches Together deadline to John Bassett, by November 14th for December
