The usual teenage questions around the meaning of life ultimately led to me becoming a Christian at the age of 21. I had made some new friends at around the time I started work, mainly through music - I was attracted because they had a band. It turned out they were Christians - you can guess the rest!
I've now been a Christian longer than I wasn't - work it out yourselves! - and whilst it definitely hasn't always been easy, I wouldn't go back for anything, or, give it up now.
My faith has led and guided me to my wife, a loving marriage, children, work, and homes, churches and close friends all around the country. I can see God's hand at many points looking back - a pity I couldn't see that in some of the times of despair along the way!
What would have become of me without God - certainly none of the above. Thinking again as I write this, it always makes me wonder; where do people without faith find direction or meaning?

My faith is a simple relationship of love and my experiences of God, rather than an academic argument. I find him in the simple things. I aspire to a child like faith.
So if I can help anyone who reads this, I would say, don't try to rationalise or work out God, you won't succeed; but ask him to prove himself to you - you won't be disappointed, but you may be surprised where you end up - I did that, and I'm still here writing about it over 20 years later!
