Hi, Pat. Do you know of any good manure supplier whom you would recommend or anyone that has been recommended.

Hello Graham, I can recommend the farmer who supplies manure to the Moggs, he delivers loads of approx 60 barrows for £25, the manure has been put through a sort of "blender" so that the straw is not noticeable. However, I don't want to just print his phone number here for obvious reasons, please give me a ring or email me at pat.barden@sky.com

Please could you let me know what is the current waiting time for an allotment in Lichfield.

R     Jun, Thursday 4th by Pat Barden
Hello Emma, I'm sorry to say it's impossible to tell you how long you would have to wait for an allotment, my best guess is around 5 years but it does depend on how many people give their's up. If we are successful in obtaining more land from the Council, then it could easily be less than that. If I can answer any other related questions then please email me at pat.barden@sky.com

Q     May, Saturday 30th by Graham Goodhead -
in the last issue of Plot Post there was a feature on Armillatox which it stated was effective in dealing with clubroot. Has anyone tried this and if so what were the results.

Hi Graham, in writing that article on club root I was quoting from old Armillatox sales literature, they claimed it would "clear out" club root not get rid of it completely. However, seeing that no one else has relied I can tell you that I have used it for the last two years and I have not lost any brassicas to club root in that time, occasionally I've noticed some traces on the roots but it has not stopped the plant from growing and maturing. As I said in the Plot Post, "if you are struggling against club root, this product appears well worth trying"
